need tires...

been using P7000ss for 30k

need something with more rim protection but hopefully in the same price range.

any idea?

I'm gonna get SP5000's or XGT Z4's. Not sure which one yet.

Don't buy the Michelins!

I had the XGT V4's on my last car. The were not a performance tire, they were a comfort tire. Dry grip was adequate, and wet traction sucked. That was five years ago, and they may have made changes, but the tire was bad enough that I wouldn't consider any XGT tire again.

I don't know the prive of the P7000 but the RE730 is a good perf. tire for the $$$

and has a rim protector aka shorks gaurd.;-)
They have had some noise issues with some people.

RE930's have guard, very good perf/wear

I had dunlop sport 8080's previously, no rim protection at all (stock tire). The RE930's are better by a whole order of magnitude in every respect. Have S02's mounted on spare rims but haven't put them on yet. Waiting for summer.
