For those who think the A4 is essentially the same as the Passat 4-Motion...
My sister has a 4-Motion. I noticed recently difference #5,647... Our turn signals don't even blink at the same rate. They didn't even use that part in both cars. Her's just blinks way too fast for my taste. :-P

the turn signal relays....
I am not sure how they work, but I have had the same cars, a 95 and a 96 subaru, next to each other in my driveway, and they NEVER blinked at the same rate, even though the relays were the same parts...
anyone know exactly how these work in terms of blink speed?
