I wonder how it compares to the IS300?

I read a review in a different british magazine, and they were comparing it to the IS200

 

When you get $30k :P

 

The only problem; i can't decide whether to get light silver or this color..

 

Looks like a bloated jelly bean! It doesn't look sporty at all.

I am finally realizing what is wrong with the design of the new A4. It's not the rear end, and it's not the front end. It's the side profile!!! It's so way out of proportion!

Think about it. The rear end really is not that bad. From some pics I've seen it clearly has a sharper edge than the A6 and dare I say I think the rear end looks better than the front end. But I cannot get over the side view when you get a glimpse of everything: the long front nose and the very short trunk. I guess the long front nose is due to the engine being in front of the wheels (due to FrontTrac & Quattro) and the short trunk is due to the longer cabin. (Thank's a lot people who complained about not enough rear leg room!) The cabin is stretched so much into the rear that there's hardly any trunk surface and the car looks almost like a hachback. It's the total opposite look than the BMW 3 series look. I like the proportions of the 3-series because the front end is very short and the rear end is bigger and swoops high up.

Oh well. Some pictures (ie: CAR pictures) look great, but every now and then I get a glimpse of that side view (ie: TopGear) and I gotta wonder what was Audi thinking. I need to get a new car next year, and I'm still holding out until I see the A4 in person. If it doesn't look good in person, I may get a BMW 325i. It saddens me to say this because my whole life I've always been a huge Audi fan.
