Rear brakes making noises

Has anyone heard any noises (somewhat like schreeching metal) from their rear brakes after they release the parking brake and then apply them as they back up? When i apply the brakes as i go foward they dont make the noise. I was thinking that it is something in the parking brake. I have a FWD car so its not in the drivetrain. I only have 4200 miles so the brake pads are not worn out.

Could be road grit or corrosion. Need to get to the dealer to fix.

Had same problem

I had the exact same problem, a screeching noise when I backed my car up. I never really identified the problem, but just last week, I changed my front pads and rotors (they were worn), and bled all four brakes, and the sound has since gone away. Weird.
