Overwhelming success for Audi: Audi models picked up a total of three titles in the “Internet Auto Award”, Europe’s biggest Internet poll in the automotive industry. The Audi A8, Audi A4 and Audi A3 triumphed in their respective categories. The runners-up spot for the new A6 in the upper midsize and luxury class behind the A8 rounded off an outstanding result for the Ingolstadt brand.
More than 500,000 votes were submitted in the poll conducted by AutoScout24, Europe’s biggest online car market. This makes the “Internet Auto Award” the biggest European Internet user poll for the car industry. The models most often selected by the AutoScout24 users in the new car configurator qualify for the poll. Users were able to choose from 160 current models.
The Audi A3 came out clearly on top in the compact class. The new A4, on the market since 2004, was the winner of the midsize class. Audi finished both first and second in the “upper midsize and luxury class” category: the new Audi A6 was narrowly beaten by the Audi A8.
Audi also made it on to the winner’s rostrum in another competition: the campaign created by the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi for the Audi A6 finished third in the search for the “Best Car Campaign”. 11 advertising agencies had entered the competition with a total of 13 car campaigns.
