Audi before thrilling 2015 DTM season
Following the final tests before the DTM season opener at Hockenheim (May 2/3), the situation, pre-season, continues to be packed with suspense. While Audi most recently set the pace in the tests at Estoril, Oschersleben presented a different picture: the fastest times went to its rivals
Audi today announced pricing for the 2016 A6 and A7 model lines. With new engines and updated design, all Audi A6 and A7 models now offer more power, greater fuel efficiency and class-leading technology for two of the Audi brand’s top-selling vehicles. The 2016 A6 and A7 sedans boast more athletic design as well as new headlights and driver assistance systems. New infotainment systems provide even higher levels of interior luxury and refinement.
With an e-tron sales initiative, Audi is paving the way for even more success in China: in 2016 the company will introduce two new models with plug in hybrid drive systems to the market. Both models – the Audi Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI quattro and the Audi A6 L e tron – are having their world premiere at Auto Shanghai. The Audi prologue allroad show car also offers a glimpse into the future of Audi’s design language
The Audi Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI quattro marks the first time that Audi has combined a TFSI plug-in hybrid with quattro all-wheel drive. Audi developed it specially for Asian markets (China, Singapore and Japan). It is sporty, comfortable and at the same time supremely efficient. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in under six seconds while consuming just 2.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (94.1 US mpg) according to the measurement method specified in China for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV)
With the A6 L e-tron, Audi is taking an important step toward even greater fuel efficiency in China. The sedan has been developed specifically for the Chinese market. Its plug-in hybrid drive with 180 kW (245 hp) provides for powerful performance. The model consumes on average just 2.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (106.9 US mpg)
