Hot spot on transmission tunnel

LOL. That is interesting. I just picked my AR up Thursday morning, and did just the tunnel once to see if it was hot. But I typically use Sync, so I guess I will check this out when my husband sets his own temperature on a long trip.
So where on the tunnel is the hot spot- high or low?

I don't know how warm you like your coffee, but I measured about 116 degrees when I checked it, the dealership measured at 122. AFAIK, there's only one duct and it runs on the driver's side. I'd be reluctant to let the plastic heat up constantly/repeatedly, no idea if that could eventually cause it to warp (it's hotter underneath than on the surface).
BTW, congrats on picking up your AR! Now you can change your sign-off. Mine is also a Prestige/Monsoon but with gray interior, and only the WW package. I could try to say I didn't want CW or DA, but I'd be lying. I'm living well enough without them.
