Hello everyone!

My audi A4 1.8T 2000.5 is getting louder everyday (and hissing noise coming from under the hood at higher RPM's, but on lower RPM's the engine makes a low-tone revving sound).. It has only 67,000 miles on it. I havent done any maintenance since 60,000 miles, neither have I done ANYTHING (except service - no mods either) like replacing the vacuum hoses, or any other parts not serviced by the dealer. I've always depended on the service done by my Audi dealer.

Can anyone please tell me what should be done (I know I should replace the vacuum hoses), assuming dealer hasnt done anything but regular service?

no service since 60k miles except oil+filter and sparkplug change. **when you open the hood you can hear a clicking noise too. Kinda sounds like you are hearing one of the spark plugs go off but i doubt I'd be able to hear a spark plug.

Does it sound like the exhaust is getting louder?

Check the BPV, and the 2.8mm vac line going from the BPV to the intake manifold... Could be the culprit.
