Default how to remove panel around hazard flasher switch

Hi all,

I am having problem with my hazard flasher switch (doesnt blink after 1 or 2 blinks), from my research, i believe the problem source is bad hazard flasher sw.

I got the parts, but, i dont know how to remove the panel around it (preferrably not to break it). Is there an instruction on how to remove the panel? or can someone pls be so kind to help me. Thanks in advance.

Default My experience with my car (2001) is that there's no way to get it out without breaking it...

I broke the tabs off and glued them back on when I got done with it, but as most people on here will tell you: The B5 FAQ and the search functions are your friends.

Default real easy. use a small flathead screwdriver and start from the bottom right next to the middle.

do both bottom sides and then the sides and then the top. hell here are some instructions.

Default Mine is 98.5, the panel covers the entire weather controll unit.

Thanks all for speedy replies.

Now, mine is 98.5, the panel covers the entire front (from hazard sw to weather control unit)..

would the same method still apply? please be so kind to confirm..

Thanks!

I believe you remove the radio and there are screws behind the radio and switches.

No. Remove the radio, then the two bolts behind the HU, and pull.

The labor is two nail files. See the tech section.
