Hello, first i would like to thank you all for the help i have gotten here over the years even though i was not a member.
The car is a 1998 A4 1.8T FWD
The part i am looking for is that broken aluminum that connects the transmission to the frame. I though it was a transmission mount but i guess i was wrong. 3 Parts stores did not know how to find it.
( the axle bolts came loose, one did not, making the axle swing and brake what can been seen.)
If anyone has an accurate name or part number i would really appreciate it.
I actually just ordered one for my 2.8. they if you call your local audi dealer they call it a gear box support bracket. mine cost me i believe $90 shipped.
The bracket in that link is correct, p/n 8D0-399-113-AB and it is 49.33 plus shipping which runs about 10-12 dollars to most places. It is 2 days away from us here in Oregon, then we box it up and ship it to you and that can take 3-5 business days. Any questions please ask us. There is a vin split in 98 but for that drivers side bracket it is the same part number in either case.
