Newby to the here
Howdy all, just saying hello. just joined.
I have recently come into a 96 A4, B5 Quattro, 2.8 autotragic
94k on the clock, owned by the same family forever. bones are excellent, body is solid, just a little scratched up.
Flushed trans, and center diff. brakes are done. needs some interior things.
looking to stay off the ground a bit, rally fan. Looking forward to working with this car. My firsat Audi, ive had several beemers, and 4x4 trucks.

Welcome pin1on, I also drive a '96 B5 A4. 2.8, 5-speed. The motor is a dog, but a tank if properly maintained. Just tore down my 12v for overhaul... 170k and can still see hone marks on the cylinder walls.

yes it is a dog, Autotragic isn't a bonus in that area either. I just did pads rotors, and flushed brake fluid, next tues its tranny and center diff flush. 94k and solid.

Check the breather tubes... Be VERY careful, they are extremely brittle.
The crankcase ventilation tubes have a tendency to gunk up and clog... Happened with my motor... Of course, increased pressure inside the case means blowing oil past seals...
