So i have a 97 a4 with an automatic trans and had no reverse lights. Fuse was good, bulbs were new, so decided it must be the NSS. Took it apart and cleaned it and like magic I now have backup lights, but now the car won't engage reverse. I took it back apart, cleaned it more and made sure everything was seated correctly, but still no reverse. Is it a bad switch or maybe just not dry all the way, I soaked it pretty good with electric cleaner. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
