Squealing accessory belt
My accessory belt broke in May, and I replaced it with a brand new contitech belt, new tensioner and replaced the roller also. Ever since then it squeals when I first start the car and the engine is cold, ie been sitting for at least 8 hours.
Shortly thereafter I noticed a small coolant leak. I never did anything about it until now, I just assumed the coolant was dripping on the belt and causing the "morning squeal".
I just changed the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc and it still squeals. The coolant leak was leaking from the water pump, so that is fixed. Why does it still squeal??
This is a 1.8T avant 5spd.
