Top one is a tilt sensor. It will set off the alarm if the vehicle is tilted to levels beyond when the alarm was set. It is intended to prevent someone from towing the vehicle off, That switch will shut off the sensor to allow it to be towed.

Middle one (although you have no graphics) is the interior movement sensor. Intended to set off the alarm if someone breaks the window. The switch will turn that off if you decide to leave your pet in the car...okay, that wasn't funny.

Bottom one opens the trunk.

It's not particularly for getting towed but for wheel theft. If you're parked illegally you're getting towed regardless if your car alarm is going off.

If someone tries jacking up the car to steal the wheels then the alarm will go off, often drawing more attention to them/alerting you.

Next question is, on the shifter(automatic), the last slot under "D" is "S" ! What is this for? Last night I took the car out for a quick spin using the Tiptronic and all is well. didn't feel that adventurous to put it into the "S" slot until I know what it is first !! !

I have a manual, but pretty sure that is the universal position for Sport mode. It elevates shift points to allow quicker acceleration; don't think it does anything else.

Also when you are in S mode, you can push the shifter to the right and manually control when the shift occurs by pushing the lever forward + or backward -; same effect as using the paddle shifters if they happen to be on your car.
