Hi, I've had an A4 sitting idle all fall and this winter. When I went out recently to do my monthly start, I found the battery was dead. When I charged it (took 15 minutes), it finally started, but at that point, the hazards came on (faster than normal and wouldn't stop) and the alarm went off (though that stopped after 3-5 minutes). I had read somewhere about moisture being an issue but not sure to what (something under the steering column?).

Some observations:
Car was idle for 4 months with infrequent starts to try to maintain battery
Alarm sounds when the car door opens (either from outside or inside).
Key Fob does not work
Hazards go continuously (until battery is drained).

I did run the car for 20 minutes, drove around (hazards on the whole way) and stopped the car (hazards stayed on). I was able to restart the car at which point the alarm sounded again and the hazards continued. Car is now dead as the hazards would not stop.

Any thoughts welcome.
