Default Do I really need that belly pan?
One of my cars has it missing. Are they there for general protection, or assisting the airflow from the radiator in some way. In other words, should I buy another one or can I let it be?

I would replace it....looks like ECS has a non-OE solution for a more reasonable price.

The answer to your first question is both; airflow and protection from debris. Yes, get one. You might also try a junk yard.

They have cooling vents to direct air into certain spots of the engine bay, also help with gas mileage some..... But I haven't had one since 2008.
