New to Audi
I am in the process of buying a used 2005 audi A4 with 79k miles. Its from a friend of a friend and im getting it at, what I think is a good deal at $2500. What should I be on the look out for? should I ask any specific questions? what maintenance am I looking at in the near future?

Price is good.... almost too good. Which motor is in it? Honestly, the best thing you can do for yourself is have the car gone over by a mechanic that really knows Audi's. It will cost you a hundred but could save you a bundle
The car almost certainly needs a new timing belt. Forget what Audi says about 105k changes, you need one now. Ballpark $1500+. The 1.8s have had sludge issues. Diff seals leak. How many owners? Checked Carfax? Etc.
Great cars, but not cheap to fix, so it's best to know where you're starting.

If its mechanically sound then that's a hell of a deal. I just picked up my 2004 A4 1.8T a couple weeks back at $1600 but I got it for so low because I had to replace the clutch and slave. I have no regrets plenty of pep and rides great.
