Okay so I was turning left to get in left lane. Then the steering wheel kinda just sat in place (to left) as i tried to straighten the the car out almost causing me to hit the median, I had to rotate the wheel hard to the right. Then suddenly power steering was back to normal. I am hearing a slight cracking noise coming from suspension when I turn the wheel all the way left and all the way right. Could this have anything to do with power steering? Or could it be just suspension?

Have you started with the simple check to see if the level of power steering fluid is ok? and the proper fluid is in the reservoir? My power steering leaks somewhere over time (cant see visible leaks anywhere) and when it goes down the steering makes noise and gets tighter.

Did check for leaks and level of fluid. Turned out to be that my pump was failing and that was its way of telling me. I put in a re manufactured pump on friday and now feels like I'm driving a new car!
