Need some help here on my 1.8t. Was idling rough on the short drive to church yesterday with flashing CEL. Thought it was a misfire and safe to drive the short distance. Coming home, same performance but seemed to be idling even rougher. Car stalled in the driveway with smoke coming out from the engine cover and a burning smell.

Come to find out smoke was coming from under the engine cover. Took out what looked to be the bad coil pack and found stuff on the coilpack, not sure what. Not sure what to even google/search for so I thought I'd check here if any of you guys know what this is or have seen it before. Pasted below are the fault codes from the Engine module. P0501 - 004 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
16891 - Idle Control System RPM
P0507 - 001 - Higher than Expected. - Intermittent
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 - - MIL ON
16686 - Cylinder 2
P0302 - 008 - Misfire Detected - Intermittent
17764 - Cylinder 1 Ignition Circuit
P1356 - 001 - Short to Plus - MIL ON
16685 - Cylinder 1
P0301 - 001 - Misfire Detected - MIL ON
17072 - ECM Power Relay Load Circuit
P0688 - 004 - Open Circuit
