Hello everyone,

The hood release cable on my 2002 B6 A4 got stretched out and stopped working. I did a really stupid thing and in a moment of frustration and ripped out the old cable that was so badly mangled. I almost immediately realized I might need that to fish the new cable through.

For the life of me, I can NOT figure out where the cable goes through in order to get it back into the cabin. While at a junk yard today I looked at a bunch of Audi's to see where it went, and it very easily and simply went through a rubber seal that was obvious and only for the hood cable. I primarily was able to check out some earlier model A4's and a 2002-04 A6 (I believe).

Get back to my car, and this is what I see in the same spot that had the beautiful and obvious place for the cable to go through:

WHAT IN THE HECK! Can someone give me some guidance here? I am putting together a DIY complete with photos in case anyone has these issues again.
