Default 2006 B7 quattro, transmission bad?

Hi everyone,
while driving my car the other day I noticed that when taking off a couple of small shocks when accelerating. This happen only when I accelerate like the transmission gear slips. Not sure what that can be ...
Also in the morning I notice that car wont start right away. engine turns many times until I get the engine running. brand new battery H7 checked it no issues.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, I will appreciate any response.

Which transmission do you have first.

Are you sure it's actual slippage rather than a misfire?

Typically with the tiptronic your slippage will be felt in higher gears. Torque converter issues are common.

Your hard starts could be hinting at a misfire issue imo.

Automatic transmission . If this is a misfire then why is coming up only when I accelerate ? Do would know? Thanks

I am not entirely sure, but it sounds like from what you are saying that it might be a misfire. I had a similar occurrence with my b7 and I thought it was the transmission as well. Try to get the car scanned, and if it shows P300-P304, that is definitely a misfire. Spark plugs and coil packs would have to be replaced, or the root cause such as a loose hose or vacuum leak would have to found. But get the codes first and go from there.

Your engine can misfire and not have any obd trouble codes logged whatsoever. Obd II is a generic reader and is lacking. Misfire codes will only show up if the misfire sum is out of tolerance. If a driver is keen on the performance of their vehicle it would feel like sudden bumps in the road when there aren't any.

Most likely than not you will feel the misfires before the ecu recognizes them as a problem. When the ecu does recognize them the misfires will have advanced and you may also have a cel.

Spark, air, and fuel is what's it's all about.

If you go to auto zone for their free scan and don't come up with anything I suggest you go to a euro shop or the dealer. You can also try throwing parts at it blindly. You may get lucky or have wasted money. The expenses are always a factor and is the possibility of it being something else.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and suggestions. This issue was due to a bad coil. I have bought the coils from europaparts and changed all spark plugs too - bought it on ebay-. Tested the car and all runs perfect.
Also bought the cam follower. Is now over 35k miles since I change it last time. Best to be changed every 20-25k miles
So next I'm planning to do the cam follower asap.

Buy Ignition Coil Pack (Revision E, Red) - 06E905115E by Genuine OEM | Europa Parts

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160677541165?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
For my B6 3.0 conv. I've got the front bearings. I can her some noise on the front right wheel while steering left. Got both front bearings.

Buy Wheel Bearing Kit (82mm, Optimal) - 8E0498625B by OPTIMAL Germany | Europa Parts

I will post pics if requested.

Again thanks

So it was misfire.

And I wouldn't wait on the cam follower. It would be justified to have already ordered a new follower regardless.
