HELP WITH Audi Navigation plus for A4
Hi sorry
if this has been posted a thousand times on here, but I am new to my car
(Audi A4 2007 8EC, B7 2.0 TDI Quattro) and new to this site,
I want to upgrade my basic Bose car radio to a satnav I wanted the rs4 radio but just cannot afford that at the mo so I Got a Audi a4 b6-b7 double din gps navigation from eBay (just the radio nothing else) what else would I have to buy so I can just plug it in and play ? do i need a aerial for the satnav or change the wiring loom, I am a fast learner and understand most thing if explained in simple terms, been told I will have to take it to Audi to connect the radio to the car, was thinking that was bollocks, I can do most things just need to know how...
has any one got a link or any advice there can help me out has any one got a copy of maps I can buy as well? Or a link I can download it from...please

Bit confused here - did you just get "just the radio (nothing else)", as stated in your post or an an actual RNS-E? If you got the RNS-E this link is one of the more useful ones for retrofitting the RNS-E into the B6/B7 models

and a more specific one

There were 2 types of radios for the North American B7 - Symphony II or Symphony II+. For navigation, you have to have the RNS-E headunit instead of the Symphony series. Where are you located? You have a diesel (TDI) which wasn't sold in North America. The links should have pictures of what the RNS-E looks like.

Need to know the exact model number of the Nav Unit you have bought, but it does sound like you have the RNS-E - the quad lock connectors most likely will be straight plug and play. You might have to move the Bose signal pin location and get a GPS antenna that many folks just mount in behind the instrument cluster.
