Title says it all, I'm a tool. Let me tell you a story about one guy on a Saturday. At 204k miles the water pump in my 06 3.2 quattro started making an awful racket. No leaks, just the bearing went bad. I looked at it real quick and thought to myself that maybe I don't need to put the car in service position because the pump is right there and I can get to it pretty easy. Nope. Nose comes off, water pump and new idler along with a belt and a tensioner (as long as I'm there might as well do it while I have free access). Long story short I put the car back together and shut the hood. Go to open the hood just to make sure all is well after a test drive and realize to my dismay I may have forgotten to check is the hood release may have become dislodged.
Anyways, how do I get the hood open now without having to replace the grille? Thank you
