Key Fob housing change...now car wont recognize the key...immobilizer??

Key Fob housing change...now car wont recognize the key...immobilizer??
hey guys...
So tonight I decided to change my plastic key housing....after I changed everything over, none of the fob buttons work (lock unlock etc) and now the car starts for two seconds and shuts right off. My odometer reads "SAFE" also...
Any ideas as to what happened here? And what I would need to do to remedy this?
