Oil change question... '06 3.0L/ NO OIL ON DIP STICK
Just changed oil/filter, Added 5.8 qt., 5w/40, required capacity according to manual. New Filter installed hand tight, drain plug @ approx. 30 NM (22 ft lbs). Started car and it runs fine, no leaks, no warning lights. Shut car off, checked dip stick.... no oil showing on dip stick. This is my first oil change on this car. I don't get it??? Did I do something wrong?

I'm the only one with this problem??
Well... the owner manual states oil capacity @ 5.5L w/filter (approx). I did that and was left approx. 1L short. It actually takes 6.4L. What do your manuals reveal for 3.0L oil capacities? If it says 5.5L you will be 1 liter short.
