Default 2015 A4 Finally Arrived

Hi Everyone,

I will finally join this group as an offical Audi owner tomorrow. My SA snapped a couple of photos when it was delivered. The PDI will be completed and I should take possesion late morning early afteroon. Being a detail enthusiast, I went over very specifically what my expectations are in terms of the dealer prep. I fully expect to dial the car in with a full exterior detail in a week or two. Let's just hope the dealer doesn't create more work for me.

I did have him write on the cover, "Do Not Test Drive."

It's essentailly a twin to another member, ccA4SEA's ride. I'll take more photos when it gets home.

Hey Congrats on your car finally arriving - don't expect you to be posting nearly as much now as you'll be out driving the car instead!

Thanks Chaz for your help during the waiting process and for the clear bra photos and info. Yes, I certainly won't be pestering Don, constantly asking him when my car is getting here and to post shipping schedules, etc..

After a long 72 days or so I picked her up around 1:00pm. We took a tour of the dealership and I chatted with my SA since today was the first time I actually met him. He ordered a couple of freebie's for me and then I jumped on the highway for the hour drive back to Orlando. I ran some errands and took the long way home.

The sun was setting as I pulled in, so I quickly setup Home-link and then gave her a quick spot wash to remove bug splatter and some tire dressing sling before taking a couple of photos. I was able to inspect the paint for any swirls and closely inspect the soft black B Pillar molding. Nothing major and no dealer induced defects so I'm happy! Anyway, here she is in her new home meeting her new stablemates.

Ha ha. Awesome. Those first few months where you wipe off every tiny spot when you get home - good times!

LOL!!! Unfortuantely my OCD kicks in and it lasts for years. The 2004 Acura TL the A4 will eventualy replace looks almost new. Sadly, I need to park it outside now...

Just did some coding tweaks using the Carista App for IOS. It's a little choppy but it worked. I've got sweeping gauges and removed the LED wink when the blinker is on. I need to see if I can get rid of the annoying open door chime. You would think Audi could have created a more pleasant tone like BMW.

Indeed - that's one clean garage too! (or is all the clutter out of view?)

What OBDII wifi adapter did you go with for the Carista app - been debating going that route or full blown VCDS.

Congrats!! An awesome ride for sure. What are your thoughts on it so far?

I placed my order about a month ago...just recieved the 'built' email. How long after your built notice did your dealer recieve the car?

Also, I see you have sport plus...does it come with aluminum pedals?

My car OCD is very, very high. I try to keep it showroom clean.... which gets hard when you have kids and not enough time to put into detailing. There's nothing worse than riding in my friend's car which never gets washed unless it rains and maybe get vacuumed twice a year.... shudder.

I assume you mean the "shut off engine before opening door" stress test. If you find it .. please tell. The only known method is the temporary mute by pressing "Reset" on the wiper control.

An extra irritation is that I have to wait for 2 bongs and sometimes 3, before the system takes notice of me pressing the button.

Thanks Chaz! Nope it's clean for sure with very little clutter. I've got some cabinets and will be adding a couple more in the next couple of weeks. I went for a sterile looking and organized space. The floors were proffesionally epoxied but I may pull the trigger on some Race Deck soon.

I just started to upgraded the lighting with a T-8 Highbay with 6 bulbs and a reflector. I've got 2 more fixtures to install that will replace the exisiting single bulb fixtures the house came with.

Here is the adapter I picked up. Looks like they raised the price $10.00 bucks in the last 2 weeks or so. I also contemplated going with the Ross-Tech VAG-COM but for the handful of features I wanted to change it didn't make finacial sense. The app is a little clunky but it works. Let me know if you need help.
