Hi,
I'm looking at possible purchase of 2009 Avant w 126k. 1 owner dealer serviced and had piston replacement at 100k. It looks extremely well cared for - all highway miles and all scheduled services done. Asking price is $9900. What are big ticket items to expect in the next 15-30k mi. Is $1200- 1500 yr reasonable for maintenance on this car? Thanks

My experience, bought my 2009 A4 Avant with 90k+ miles, now have 110k miles. So far only replaced the steering rack.
You should research chain tensioner failures..I intend to have mine replaced soon.

Hi- I would hope at those milage Most of the issues would be sorted out. Seems like the previous owner had his oil consumption fixed; and likely the timing belt and assorted parts since it was all dealer serviced. I see no reason why not have it looked over by an inde. mechanic/shop and offer, say, $9K and used the savings to fix any "minor" things.
