I took my car in for 15k miles service and asked the dealer to fix my backup sensor because it wasn't working. I also told them my overlay for backup sensor on MMI disappeared when the backup sensor went bad.
Long story short, they are telling me that I should've never had overlay for backup sensor on my car. I know I had it because my wife's Q3 has overlay for front and back sensors and I only had back which I was a bit jealous about.

Can anyone provide me a picture with backup sensors overlay on MMI.

If you are not the first owner, maybe a preivious owner activated the sensor graphics using VCDS. I did that on my previous B8 (MY-08) after I had to replace the sensor ECU with a later revision. There is information on the web how to do it and most cars, except the first few model years, have a revision of the control box that supports graphics even if Audi don't want you to have graphics without paying for the "Parking Plus" option (that includes front sensors).

I assume this trick could work also on the "facelift" B8.5. The graphics shows, as you remember, with a horizontal car and the four sensor indicators in the back but without the indicators in the front.

Thanks for your reply. I am the original owner and I do not have the VCDS so I am confused how it was enabled. Anyway, I guess I have to buy the VCDS or find someone near my area who has one.
