Default Audi A4 3.2 Quattro 2009 - a good buy?

Hey guys, I'm new to the Audi forum and would really appreciate your feedback. I'm looking at purchasing a 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, I really want a fast, well handling, reliable saloon with all wheel drive.

This is one I'm looking at:
Audi A4 3.2 Quattro 2009 | Trade Me

It's only done 42,580km (26457 miles) and asking price is $25,999NZ ($19,030US) which seems a good price to me.

Just like to know from any members with the same model how reliable it's been for them and how much the servicing has costs have been. What is the automatic transmission like to use and any general likes/dislikes.
If I get serious with it I'll get a pre-purchase inspection done by an Audi dealer but would really appreciate any feedback you can give me on this model.

Thanks

James

This is a 7 year old car. The odometer should be about 100K miles. My first impression is why mileage is so low.

I have the 2010 A4 2.0T Quattro and wouldn't recommend for the reason you want it "fast, well handling, reliable saloon"....It's too heavy for me... I am looking at the newer A3 to save a lot of weight.

In general, the '09 A4's were not particularly good cars, with reliability way below average. The 3.2 engine did better than the 2.0 primarily because they did not drink oil at the level the 2.0 did. This car will end up costing you a lot of money to keep it on the road, so if you feel that you cannot live without it, just make sure that your allowance for repairs and maintenance is there to keep it going.
