Fuel pump help!
Hi all!
I'm not very techy with cars but here's my question and i'll try to keep it short:
Recently had my pistons replaced by Audi due to the class action lawsuit for engine oil consumption (Toronto). So they did that but forgot to replace the fuel pump and caused engine issues such as gasoline smell in the cabin, weird low ticking noise, etc. Once that got replaced, my car had another issue where it choked on startup, couldn't go more than 20km/h, very shaky drive and wreak of gasoline. As it turns out, there's a part inside the fuel pump (forgot name but some kind of brass tap or something like that) that was too small and caused the high pressure build up and the oil imploded. Now Audi has said they'll replace the fuel pump parts but my concern and question to you is what other parts should I be concerned with as I want them to be replace any affected parts as well? I don't want my engine affected by this implosion and in 6-12months from now.
Please let me know what I should address so when I speak with the manager, I'll have my basis covered.
Thanks to all for those who read this and offer insights
