Hello all...
About 6 weeks ago I was getting gas and my car would not allow me to pump the gas as I normally would be able to. It would click off only allowing me to pump slowly. Shortly after the check engine light came on. My personal mechanic checked the code and it came up:

P2404
Evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense circuit range/performance

Can anyone point me in the direction of what is probably wrong? I have read that is could be a simple as a new gas cap and could be a host of other things.

Did you have the code cleared and did it come back. Remove the gas cap and with your finger move the rubber seal around and then put the cap back on. The next inexpensive step is to replace the gas cap. If the code returns then you need to get an evep. system smoke test. Hope it is only a cap issue and a one time code.
