I'm looking for a mount for my iPhone that would allow it to also act as a dashcam. The vent mounts all seem to place the phone so low as to not allow the camera to see over the dashboard. But I'm nervous about using one of the "sticky" dashboard mount as I'm afraid it might cause damage.

Anyone have suggestions? I'd love to stick it off the right side of the MMI display, but I don't see anything that would work for that.
