Headlamp washer?

Not in the US for a while, not required by law, therefore not offered, I kind of like not having a messed up hood, my 2004 A4 had them, the 2010 Q5 and 2012 A6 did not, neither does the 2017 A4.

My A4 had it since 2008 ! This is regression, not progress.
I think it is a must for areas where there is snow like Canada.
Big deal if you pay extra for LEDs, but if it does not go through the sh_t that accumulates on the lights during Winter what good is it for?
At least it seems to be available in Europe:

I've not heard about leaks but yes on the consumption. Also, in the two Audis I had that had the washers, both systems failed right after the warranty ended. I never bothered to repair them since I hated the mess they made of the hood while not doing a very good job of cleaning the headlights anyway.

They also never broke on my B5 (14 years) but it sure drank a lot of washer fluid.
I would turn off my lights when I used the washer fluid to save the fluid. (Headlight washers would not activate- with lights off) Also figured it would keep them working longer.
Not sure if my method of saving a few cents was worth driving down a dark road with my headlights off... I somehow rationalized it in my mind.
I was surprised to find out they were not going to be on my B9. But I guess the dark NJ roads will be a safer place.
