Default MMI system update error

Hi guys,

I tried to update my MMI software over the air today and got this message...
Anyone else get this? Anyone know how to solve this?

Just try again later. It should resolve itself.

Map data updates, not actual system updates.

Oh okay. I thought he meant MMI software. Map updates work OTA but I believe the map downloaded is limited to that particular State or a few states (from what I've read). That's why I used the USB method.

You can download all of North America, but it takes forever. USB or SD is the way to go.

hi guys,

I'm in Europe and my MMI will actually let me start the system update function over the air, but ends up with an error. Maps is a separate update process and that works just fine for me.

Sounds like the MMI system update option isn't available in the states?

How are you triggering system updates? The vehicles are capable of updating in response to security vulnerabilities over the air in all markets, but no mechanism for system updates according to the former team I used to manage that built all this. I'm curious if something changed.

Yep, so that's just for map updates. MMI software isn't updatable over the air for many reasons.
