On the inner side of the glove box lid on our car, there is a rectangular recess with some clips. It looks like something attaches or hinges there.

Does anyone know what that "something" is?

I think the clips are to hold a pen and there is a plastic tab to hold paper or maybe the registration and insurance cards.

Thanks. I came to the same conclusion. Audi pens on eBay are expensive!

On my glovebox I have wiring that goes it to the back but nothing lights up etc what could it be.
