The brake pedal has a couple switches and a return spring. The switches are for the brake lights and a cruise control shut down. It sounds like a switch closing to me but you say you can feel it so it could be the return spring clicking on something.

If it is the same click as what happens in the A4 B9 at around 25 mph, I'm guessing it is normal (atleast, in the A4 it is). In fact, I've read people saying it happens in their new A6/7 but my A7 doesn't have that click (2017 A7). My 2013 A6 didn't have it either.
But both the 2017 A4 and Q7 have it and it's normal. And like you mentioned. I've driven loads of cars too and NEVER experienced it in any of the ones I've driven. Except for my A4!

One additional data point -- my 2016 A6 TDI also has the diesel pedal click.

You could call the foot control for fuel flow an Accelerator.

So, the dealership 2nd one confirmed the brake pedal noise isnt normal. They replaced the brake switch and some other **** (talking over the phone) i havent gotten the report yet but ill update here. They test drove the car and now the brake clicks are no longer there. Im surprised the 1st dealership did not even try to repair the car......... only lubing the switch.

yah im not concerned with the gas pedal clicks anymore. I had 4 or 5 AUDI loaner cars and they all had this odd click to it. It happens in the start of driving then random times. I found it very apparent with the s4 loaner i had, speeding and letting go of the pedal then pressing hard again made the noise alot.

Oh okay. Then this is some other click you guys are talking about. In the new A4/Q7, the click happens at exactly 25mph which is the abs calibrating. It also happens ONLY when the car has been moved for the first time after it has been started. Doesn't happen again. But happens everytime th car is switched off and switched on and crosses 25mph.
I thought that was the click you guys were talking about (which I NEVER heard in my A6 and A7).
