A month or so ago on eBay I purchased a 2016 stock black S6 heated steering wheel (P/N 4GO419091BIWJ) with double white stitching intended for my 2016 A6 P+. It was in like-new condition for $200 (without air bag). I wanted to keep the heated feature of my original stock wheel, but primarily wanted a steering wheel that was thicker, with possibly softer Napa type leather, and the S6 wheel seemed like the perfect solution. I kind of blew it though, because at the last minute I cancelled the transaction. For some reason I thought that the S6 steering wheel would be no thicker or softer than the stock wheel on my A6. Anyone know if this is the case? Not that it really matters now..

Only the flat bottom wheel is thicker, however none are heated.
Since you already have s-line you have the same as S6 wheel just with s-line badge.

The S line wheel with cold weather package is heated,I have it on my car.
I swapped emblems that's all.

He was not saying you couldn't get the Standard S6 wheel with heating. He correctly said that the S6 sports wheel that has the flat bottom you can not be ordered heated.


The standard S6 wheel would be same as the A6 S-Line wheel with the badges swapped as has been correctly said.


I got the cold weather package on my S6 and thus the round wheel. I actually don't use the heated wheel and heated rear seats that much so I wish I would have stuck with the flat bottom wheel.

Thanks guys. So it sounds like I didn't blow it after all by cancelling that eBay transaction. You're saying that the standard 2016 heated S6 wheel is the same as my 2016 heated A6 S-Line wheel. So, besides the double white stitching, I would've had the same wheel after all. I just don't like the fact the wheel is so bone hard, and it could be a bit thicker. Wish I could find an OE wheel (non-flat bottom) that was heated, and was a thicker, softer leather, like some of those special flat-bottom S6 wheels. Maybe they'll make such a wheel for a future version of the A6.
