5mm Spacer Question
Does anyone have a solution if you are using a 5mm spacer with wheels? Keep in mind the wheel is an aftermarket but custom center bore to fit the A6. I wasn't sure if it was an issue with vibration or not since it can sit on the hub but not 100% like the normal fitment.

On my 20"s I needed a 5mm spacer to clear the front brake calipers. This is what a 9" wide wheel with a 40mm offset + 5mm spacer looks like in rear (no rubbing):
Tbh I wouldn't be using them if I didn't have to. Sure it looks nicer but the further you push out the wheels the more chips and stuff get thrown against the side skirts and the rear bumper.

To the OP, if you go spacers, get the longer lugs as well. I was told you want to keep the "bite" the same so my lugs are 5 or 6mm longer as well to compensate for the gap you are introducing.

Same here. I run 5 or 6mm and I do it for clearance on my winter wheels and the brakes. I however do keep them on for the summers as I like the little push out. I run that size mainly to get as much meat on the bub still as possible.

Right now I have my old A5 19" five spoke Y wheels on my A6 with 255/35/19s and looking to change it a bit (I know its slightly smaller in wheel diameter than OEM). I believe my A5 wheel is a 33 offset 19x8.5 wheel. I am using a 5mm spacer in the front and nothing in the back. I do also have the longer lugs and really don't experience vibration. However, I do recall spacers on my A5 and had H&R 20mm spacer on my A5 that was the bolt on with using the H&R hub attachment and had massive vibration. Now it could have been a universal center bore size as the wheel wasn't OEM or custom drilled.
So I am thinking about getting VMR 710FF Wheels on a 19x9.5 45 offset. My tire is a 255/35 which is slightly smaller than the OEM design. My questions are what are everyone's thoughts on getting a 19x9.5 wheel with a 45 offset and using a 5mm spacer? Do you think I will get vibration? The center bore is apparently drilled OEM so it isn't a universal bore. Do you think it's too aggressive or anticipate any rubbing? Is the tire too stretched with a 255/35 on a 19x9.5" wheel?
Please note stock suspension and my car is a 2013 A6 Prestige with the S-Line suspension package.

I don't really have enough aftermarket wheel/tire swapping to help with your numbers in regards to rubbing. However I can answer the vibration.
With my set up, I was not experiencing any. I have recently, but I think that is due to the tires being at end of life. It is when I am about 70mph or higher. I personally don't think it is spacer related as I am wrapping up year 2 of running them.

Yeah I am on the 19in all year around. The car is firm enough for my taste with sport and 19in (Plus crappy roads here in Socal)
I have H&R 15mm all around and no vibration at all :-)
