Default A6 Ultra Lead Times

Hi, I am new to this forum as I have been searching for information on the A6 Ultra S Tronic lead times.

I ordered my first ever Audi, an A6 Ultra Black Edition 2.0 tdi with S Tronic gearbox in May and was given 4 months lead time, now being told possible end of October for delivery but with no firm date. Cant wait for the car but really frustrated on the delivery. I have today seen posts that there are problems with this gearbox and you can no longer configure this car from the Audi website.

Can anyone give me more information on this as I dont want to have to wait any longer for my new car!

We don't get an Ultra trim or the S-Tronic here. Our top of the line is the Prestige, and all quattros get the 8 speed automatic. Only the S6 gets the S-Tronic.

Obviously, the OP is not located in North America so "here" will probably not mean much to him. This is AudiWorld - we have members from many other locales who can probably better help with his question.

Doesn't it seam reasonable that forum members are required to, at least, post their country or location? This is extremely useful information when posters request information that pertains to options and models that are location specific.
This scenario appears on forums all too frequently and could be solved by a request during member registration.

+1000.

So many of the inquiries made here are region-specific. I would also suggest making the location mandatory at new member sign up. Other forums do this. It's not a big deal to add the information. If you wish to be generic, you can always use a non-specific location like USA or Germany or UK, etc.

Adding your vehicle to your profile is mandatory at some forums. It definitely helps others make more useful suggestions.
