I have the stage 1 tune and it definitely changes things. However, it is not eye opening to me and I came away a bit disappointed. Therefore, I'm hesitant on pulling the trigger for the stage 2 + pulley as I do not want to be disappointed again after another ~ $1000 in. I'm very close to diving in, though. Just need some more first hand feedback on how much of a difference there is between the stage 1 and the stage 2 + pulley, and what kind of difference.

Perhaps it's a foregone conclusion but the Stage 2 is completely different than the Stage 1.

Stage 2 produces an extremely driveable difference where Stage 1 requires you to hammer on it to feel the difference.

Stage 2 feels like a go kart in a video game because of the part throttle gains.

I have a 2012 A6 with 170K miles. Is it a bad idea to boost performance at this point, or a better idea, seeing how no warranty voids, etc.

Default 2013 A6 3.0T APR Stage 1 tune.

Okay. I've had a read through all the posts and they need some good accurate information. Well, here it is. I just did a stage one one my 2013 A6 3.0T (Gen 1 engine). Before tune, 0 to 60 = 5.5 seconds. After installation, 0 to 60 was 5.5 seconds. After driving 140 miles mixed highway and secondary/back roads, 0 to 60 = 4.62 seconds, 4.71 seconds, and lastly 4.58 seconds. Flat straight away. 82 degrees F, 72% relative humidity. I believe that it will be faster when cooler days prevail in the fall. Location York County, Maine. No other mods. A stage II will add about another 30 HP and 40 ft.lbs. of torque. Speed should approach 0 to 60 near 4.3 seconds to 4.4 seconds. No quarter mile yet but there is a video showing an A6 dash with APR Stage 1 vs Stock A6. It is pretty accurate. The rest of the numbers like 4.1 0 to 60's are a stretch. If you've got a grand hanging around and would like some more "spirit", I would do an APR Stage 1. Noticeable difference. For another 219 bucks plus labor (probably 100 Bucks) a stage two may be a good deal. I will consider it down the road a piece. For now, I am happy with the gains bestowed upon my ride.

Default 2013 A6 APR Stage 1 Tune

I have a 2013 A6 3.0 t with a stage 1 APR tune. What a big difference. I would say horsepower is fairly accurate although I have not measured it but performance is a phenomenal Improvement. 0 to 60 times went from 5.5 seconds down to 4.6. Most impressive difference is the torque and power at high speed. Really pulls great from 80 to 120. I've given some thought to the stage 2 upgrade but I'm not sure it's going to give me a big Improvement although the expense is small compared to buying the stage one. One thing you do notice is that above 6000 RPMs the power drops off a bit. There is a transmission tune that will improve the shift points to hold the power in the right range for the right time until it's ready to shift back into that power range. That tune is about another $900 and I'm not really up for it. Car is plenty fast now unless I want to wind up in court.
