No. Mine doesnt work that way. Even with the screen retracted when i shut down the vehicle, it pops up to the screen where it left off when the car is restarted. But if the MMI is shut off (by holding down the volume ****) then he screen does not pop up when the vehicle is started, and of course the radio doesnt play either.

Yes. Just hit the retract button (to the right of the steering wheel) and then use the center console display when you want to change stations (use the left-right buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to bring up the radio stations display)

The vendor that has this was charges $1295 + shipping + install of your choice (DIY or other). So yea, a few bucks just for a power trunk. I would love to have this in my car as I love it in the Q, but I am looking at $1500+ after I pay to install. Not sure I could tackle this DIY

I have a 2016 S6. Today I had the HVAC system set to auto. The 4 top vent were blowing pretty hard.
I tried a voice command to set an address in the navigation system.
I thought it was pretty cool when the 2 center vents shut down, making the cabin quieter, while I was verbalizing address info. Then once the address was accepted the center vents returned to blowing cold air again.
Very cool.
