Only a guess, but I would be surprised if they changed what's underneath the ****. The only thing that gives me pause is that the lockout button is in a different place.

In the A3/TT they had to heat up the plastic that holds the shift **** and turn it 90 degree (or change the whole assembly). It wasn't a straight swap for sure.

You mean the button you have to push to change out of park?
If so, I would prefer it on the front.
I'm not sure, but I would assume it is spring loaded cable of some sort
