EV1's were only leased from GM as a science experiment, their usefulness was completed so the leases were never renewed.

Diesel engines will only be killed by government not by consumers.

Diesel fuel is cheaper to refine and produces greater energy per gallon than gasoline. It is also safer to transport and store because it is not as explosive. It is also used as home heating fuel throughout the northeastern US.

Diesel engines produce far more power for moving heavy loads and are much more economical than gasoline engines or electric.

Those of us who have owned and driven diesel powered cars and trucks love and prefer them.

Manufacturers of electric city cars would not be able to sell one hundred cars per year without government subsidies and government assistance in providing recharging stations.

Electric cars are simply not valued by average Americans.
