Default door won't open from inside

On my 14 A6 all doors lock automatically when the car is in motion. Problem: Right rear passenger door will not open from the inside when car is stopped and pushing the master unlock does not help. The right rear will open from the outside. All other doors work correctly.

It's the child lock, the switch is just behind the window switches on the drivers door.

The rear door child-lock buttons are physically located just below the window open/close buttons. So I inadvertently always hit the child-lock buttons with my fat fingers, which is not noticed until sometime later when a passenger is struggling to get out of my back seat.

My kid was stuck in the back seat for a week because of that. Had to bring food, water and a bedpan out to the driveway every day.

Also, even without the child locks, the rear doors require two pulls to open from the inside if they are locked. The first pull only unlocks that door.

Duh! Thanks for the heads up. I've had child proof locking in the past, but always controlled from the driver info center electronically. No tykes in my car, so always disabled this feature. Also, first time iv'e seen a system that locked one door.
