Default Fuel Leak - Recall

Fyi: Two days ago fuel began to leak from the area just behind the passenger's side front wheel well. I have a 2012 A6 Prestige with 83.5K on it. I was able to drive it to local Audi dealer 1/2 a tank of gas leaked out in only a few hours. My service advisor mentioned the recent recall and sent me away with a loaner. They'll have the car for several days because apparently the required parts are not yet in ample supply and they are only being provided for emergency cases like mine.

Did they say which models years this effects or is it this generation of A6's?

Also, what loaner did they give you?

Here's the link: https://www.cars.com/recalls/audi-a6-2012/

They gave me a 2017 A4 - not as nice as the 2012 A6

Does anyone know where this HP fuel pump is located & which fuel line the recall is referring to? I would like to visually inspect it, prior to the replacement parts becoming available.

From service manual, step one is to remove engine cover, then it should be visible. Pic shows it looking like a cylinder:

Just got my notification letter yesterday. Indicates that parts will not be available for the recall until Nov. 21, so don't call to schedule till after that date

I received the recall letter today and noticed that it says that the in-tank fuel pump is being replaced.

If they replace the in-tank pump, does that include the fuel filter as well?

Generally on other cars, the in-tank pump has a sock over the inlet and a external fuel filter near the tank. I don't know how Audi does it but you ask them to change the filter while they have it apart.
