Sadly that is a good way to get someone to scratch your car.

Or, the audi driver comes back and scratches the other guy's car because he has to enter through the passenger door and crawl over the console, no easy feat. Either way, the guy is a jerk.

Tough crowd. Ever parked going into a hospital because you got a 2 AM call? I'll bite that the driver is an idiot if that's a normal day but we don't know.

That would be a possibility if he had not taken the time to reverse into parking spots.

It still is not clear to me which of these cars was parked first. I think that fact has a lot to do with deciding which driver is the (bigger) butthole. So many folks will do anything to park right near the front, so that usually if you go back 10 rows or so, there are plenty of spaces where you won’t be as squeezed. I always look for an end spot so I can pull all the way to the side with just a lane next to me, then hope someone doesn’t cut the turn too close and hit me. Parking is so stressful if you care about your car.
I totally "get" why someone would want to take up two spaces to prevent idiots from damaging their nice car: there are so many people out there waiting to destroy anything that someone else has that they envy. I rarely take of two spots, but when I do it is at the farthest end of a big open lot so I am not taking a spot someone else wants or will use.
I have parked literally at the farthest spot in a suburban mall with zero cars around me when I park, only to return and to find a 30 year old rusty pickup parked inches away.
