Default Lease up on BMW 328; considering A6.

I drove a 2016 3.0 A6 Saturday and was blown away! I had shrugged off Audi bc of my BMW loyalty, but the reviews of the A6 beckoned me to drive one. The interior look, color selections, list of options, and final price tag have me seriously considering an A6.

One of the first things that hit me was the handling compared to the BMW 535. I thought the A6 had a much improved ride across various surfaces, and with minimal body role through the curves. What are your thoughts on the s-line suspension? Does that significantly stiffen the ride? Is it comparable to the BMW m-sport suspension? Is this a must have for an enthusiast? I'm caught between a huge highway daily commute (so I want a nice smooth suspension) and an lead foot when I see a yellow sign saying curves ahead...

My CA says the standard suspension is adaptive and stiffness changes as drive mode selection is changed (Eco, normal, sport, sport plus). The web site seems to say that only the S6 has adaptive suspension. Is my CA wrong?

The other thing thAt has blown me away is I can get the same options on the A6 for $10K less than the BMW. Now, the BMW adds things in the 10K, but to me it's more 'filler' options.

Lastly, the dealership is aggressively trying to sell me an Audi and, on the surface, seem to be offering a great deal. They want me to decide by Tuesday - lol. We'll see

Anything to help motivate me towards an A6 would be appreciated

Where are you located? If in North America, there is no adaptive suspension in the A6.
There are many threads on the S-Line Sport package. Aside from better handling, there are the cosmetic improvements. Consider 19" wheels with the Sport pkg. A good compromise between handling and ride comfort

I will second the 19" sport package. Best combination of handling and ride - though keep in mind it will likely come with AS tires so if you want to kick it up a bit you will have to spring for new tires and get some summer rubber. Another added plus of the 19" wheels, cheaper and greater options on tire replacement. I have had 2 C7s, one with the 19" sport and another (current) with the 20" sport - so I speak form experience. The 20" tire set up is a bit too much over expansion joints. Impact harshness is still good though, only so much you can do with a 35 profile sidewall at that size.

While its a good suspension set up, it won't have that 50/50 distribution that BMW has, so you will need to get used to the fact that Audi's are FWD biased design and have a lot more weight over the front end so you will have more understeer and a longer front wheel overhang. That being said, I still think that the A6 has a better all around suspension set up than the 5 series. Plus, no silly run flat tires like BMW.

One thing you will find coming from BMW is that Audi doesn't subsidize their leases like BMW does with those unrealistic residuals, so even though a comparable A6 may be 10k less as you say, you might end up paying nearly the same on a monthly lease note. Summer of Audi event has some pretty good incentives and MF rates.

Oh and one more thing, we don't call them Client Advisors (CA) at Audi, we have Brand Specialist!

After driving the 535i M sport after the A6 3.0 S line, I would say go with the A6. With the summer tires it has tons of grip and less roll/dive compared to the 5. You wont be disappointed.

Although my prior BMW was an M3. My A6 Prestige with S line package is still an impressive drive

I came out of a 550 M Sport. I much prefer my A7 (mechanically the same as an A6). I have 20" tires and there is a good chance I will change them out for 19s.
