The paint on the grille does not look that bad from distance, but closer look reveals the imperfections. The Audi rings don't hide the paint imperfections very well.

My opinion... if you want the black rings... spend the money on a nice set of black audi rings and as first priority. But be careful on making sure of size. There are many rings for older grilles that claim fit on newer grilles.

After that.... I suggest finding a place that will vinyl wrap the edge of the grille as second priority.

I'm no stranger to looking for affordable upgrades... but some upgrades really make or break the "first impressions" mark.

I have many imperfect mods but they bring me much joy. As long as your mods bring you satisfaction and no one's comment makes you feel bad.. you're all set. Your amazing machine is all yours to craft to your preference.
