I personally believe the C7's heated steering wheels are not as hot as the C6's were.
Anyway the ability to tweak it a bit warmer will be appreciated.
I swear this VagCom cable was the best investment.
No doubt about that! Vagcom and Audi are inseparable!

I just hope the steering wheel heating element in the C7 is as robust as my earlier Audis and increasing the default temp threshold will not shorten its life.

My heated steering wheel is also really tepid. I'm thinking about getting vagcom, but i only have a MacBook. Am I SOL?

Nope, but you'll need a Windows virtualization program like Parallels (or just use Boot Camp to dual boot into Win and Mac). I bought Parallels and Windows for this express purpose and it works perfectly on my MacBook Pro (new and old versions). Definitely worth doing, though it would be ideal if VCDS were available as a native app.

Another option is Ross-Tech's VCDS Mobile. It uses their wireless OBDII module and their iOS or Android smartphone app. No bulky laptop or cable needed.

Steering Wheel Temp mod accomplished. Just in time for real winter here in the Midwest. Tried 30° first, not much of a difference, so I did 32. Nice!

I doubt if anyone knows, so like any of these VagCom mods, each user takes on the risk of experimentation.
