I recently went from Long Island, NY to Boston, MA and back on one tank with some incidental driving around the area. Filled up when I got home with 18.09 gallons and traveled 512 miles...28.3 MPG. Based on a 19.5 gallon tank I should have had another 40 miles or so till empty.

Very pleased versus my prior 2002 C5 A6 with 2.7T engine... Only averaged 20.3 MPG over the 10 years I owner the car.

My 2014 Prestige model delivered 28.6 on more than one occasion. Amazing what long gearing and torque performance will do

Perfect, thank you....that is my exact commute but in reverse every other week...Boston to Metro NY/Northern NJ area (around and around) and then back to Boston. Maine on the other weeks...wanted to make sure I could get down and back without having to stop to fill up!!! Sweet

Out here in the midwest I get around 1 MPG more when traveling East than traveling West. Got 28.8 MPG and 540 miles on a tank during a recent eastward journey.

There's a "sucks vs blows" joke in there somewhere.

Loooong drive from Chicago to Phoenix. Averaged 33.8 after the trip. 3.0T Prestige.

Lots of dust - 1500 miles.

Highway mpg on these cars is pretty good. It is the stop and go of urban crawl that knocks the crap out of overall mpg's - from a trip at 33 mpg to a Friday evening rush hour on a holiday weekend in the NYC area at 14 mpg. I am averaging 23.47 overall - not bad considering where I drive.
